New York Cannabis Possession Limits

Understanding cannabis possession limits in New York State. How much can you legally carry?

In New York, adults 21 and older can legally possess up to 3 ounces of cannabis flower and up to 24 grams of concentrated cannabis (oils, extracts, etc.) for personal use. These limits apply to both residents and visitors. You can also possess up to 5 pounds of cannabis at your private residence. There is no limit on the number of edible products you can possess as long as the total THC content falls within the concentrate weight limit. Possession of amounts exceeding these limits may result in civil or criminal penalties depending on the quantity.
